Book a drop-in appointment for a bike safety check, workshop service or repair assessment.

These appointments are for Shrub Coop’s professional workshop service. If you’d like to repair your own bike, please book an Open Workshop session on a Thursday, or on a Tuesday if you’re eligible.
What to expect
As an environmental charity, Shrub Coop is committed to keeping your bike safe, reliable, affordable and in use for longer.
One of the best ways to save money is by having your bike checked regularly. Routine safety checks help spot small problems before they become expensive repairs.
In Scotland, it’s recommended that most bikes have a safety check or service around twice a year, depending on how often they’re ridden. Safety checks are free, although any repairs or replacement parts needed will incur a charge.
If your bike has a specific issue, you’re welcome to email the workshop in advance so the team can prepare:
During your appointment, you can expect:
A general safety check of your bike.
A discussion about any problems you’ve noticed.
Advice on any repairs or maintenance your bike may need.
Access to a range of new and second-hand parts and accessories.
If repairs are required, a workshop booking can be arranged during your appointment.
