This International Women’s Day week, the Everyone’s Environment programme is launching a new briefing exploring how the climate and nature crises impact women and girls across the UK.
Led by NPC in partnership with the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN), the briefing looks at how environmental change and systemic inequality intersect to shape women’s lives - including impacts on health, access to nature, safety, transport, housing and care work.
This online launch event will introduce the key findings and explore why gender-responsive climate and nature action is essential for building fairer and more resilient communities.
The session will cover:
Key findings from the new briefing and what they mean for organisations and policymakers
Why climate and nature action must consider gender and inequality
Practical steps organisations can take to support women and girls
Opportunities to get involved with the Everyone’s Environment programme and WEN’s work
