Savings for the Planet: Short Films and Switching Banks

Could switching banks be a simple way to take climate action?

Join Scottish Communities Climate Action Network (SCCAN) for an online session with researcher Sam Price, exploring the environmental impact of banking and how short films can encourage people to make more sustainable financial choices.

Drawing on research from the University of Bristol, the session will explore what motivates people to switch banks, the barriers that prevent them from doing so and how creative communications can inspire change.

The discussion will also consider the role of banks in financing fossil fuels and how individuals can make more informed decisions about where they keep their money.
