The Scottish Government is inviting community groups to take part in a series of regional online discussions on community benefits from onshore renewable energy.
The South of Scotland session will bring together people involved in delivering or managing community benefit schemes to discuss proposed updates to Scotland’s Good Practice Principles for Community Benefits from Onshore Renewable Energy. The conversation will focus on ideas set out in the recently published Working Paper on Refreshing the Good Practice Principles.
This is an opportunity for communities to share their experiences, connect with others and help shape future guidance on how community benefits from onshore renewables are delivered.
Full details about the format and what to expect are available on the Eventbrite page. Booking is required and spaces are limited.
Other regional sessions
In addition to the South of Scotland event, the Scottish Government is also running Central Scotland, North East Scotland, and Highlands and Islands sessions, so communities across the country can take part in the discussion.
