Join Take One Action for an imaginative workshop exploring what a community-led social centre in central Edinburgh could look like - and the many possibilities a space like this might offer.

We’ll look at examples of social centres from around the world and hear from the founders of Pelican House in London, alongside short provocations from local groups about potential uses for an Edinburgh space - from free meeting rooms for community organising to performance spaces, a community diner, a crèche, rights clinics, gardens, or a community newsroom.

Together, we’ll co-design our own imagined social centres, with a shared meal made from sustainable local ingredients. A small travel and childcare fund is available (email rachel@takeoneaction.org.uk).
