Call-out: Can your organisation offer volunteering opportunities for young people this summer?

Local organisations across Edinburgh are invited to support young people into climate and nature-focused pathways by offering volunteering opportunities from late June onwards.

Impact Arts is currently delivering Green Starts, part of their Impactful Starts programme - a 12-week creative employability programme for young people aged 16–24 who are not currently in employment, education or training.

The programme uses creativity as a tool for change, supporting participants to build confidence, develop skills, gain qualifications and take steps towards further training or employment.

Through a mix of creative activity, employability support and real-world experience - including opportunities to engage in community and climate-focused projects - participants are supported to move towards a positive next step.

If you know a young person who could benefit from this opportunity please refer them using the form below.

Call-out: volunteering opportunities from June onwards

As participants complete the programme in June, the team is now looking to connect them with local organisations who can offer meaningful volunteering opportunities.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Support young people as they take their next steps

  • Share skills, knowledge and experience within your organisation

  • Contribute to building more accessible pathways into climate and nature work across the city

Volunteering opportunities could include a wide range of roles - from practical and outdoor work to creative, administrative or community-based activities.

Get involved

If your organisation offers volunteering opportunities and could support a young person from late June, July or August, we would love you to get in touch.

If you’re unsure what you could offer, you’re still welcome to start a conversation.
