The Participation Fund is one of the many steps we’re taking to ensure a more representative and just climate movement in our city.
ECCAN Participation Fund
Our Participation Fund is here to help ECCAN members with costs that might otherwise prevent them from taking part in ECCAN events.
Who it’s for
ECCAN members who need financial or practical support to attend an ECCAN event
What it can cover
Travel, childcare, carer or respite costs, support worker travel, event tickets, and some other access needs.
Examples of what we can support
Travel: Bus, train or tram - whatever gets you there and back. If you need someone to come with you, we can usually cover their travel too. If public transport is not an option, we may also be able to help with other transport costs.
Childcare: If you need someone to look after your children while you attend one of our events, we may be able to help. This could be through a babysitting agency, or by covering travel costs for a trusted friend or family member to care for them in your home.
Carer support: If you need a carer to come with you, we can cover their travel and, in some cases, help with respite care for the person you care for.
Ticket costs: If ECCAN is running a paid ticketed event, members can apply through the Participation Fund for one free ticket.
Something else? If you need support such as sign language interpretation, translation or specialist equipment, please get in touch. We will do our best to help.
