Introduction to Citizens' Assemblies for 18-35 year olds

  • McDonald Road Library 2-8 McDonald Road Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 4LU United Kingdom (map)

Watch the story of the UK’s first Climate Assembly and explore what fairer decision-making could look like in Scotland.

This event is part of Doing Democracy Differently – a series exploring how decisions can better reflect people and the planet, starting with citizens’ assemblies.

Open to 18–35 year olds who don’t feel represented in current politics, the session introduces the idea through real stories. We’ll watch The People vs Climate Change (BBC), followed by small-group discussions on what this approach could mean for Scotland and local communities.

Support is available to help cover travel, childcare or other costs for those attending from Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife or the Borders – email policy@2050.scot for details.

About the organisers:

2050 Climate Group is a youth-led charity supporting young people to take action on the climate crisis.
