Birdsong Survey Walk - Lauriston Farm

  • Lauriston Farm Edinburgh, Scotland, EH4 5EX United Kingdom (map)

This spring, for the fifth year, Prof John Frank will lead Birdsong Identification Walks around the periphery of Lauriston Farm, once a month from March to June. These walks are a survey – to count the bird species on the farm, which is important information for the co-op as we work to increase biodiversity, and John also uploads the survey results to the national Breeding Bird Survey.

You don’t need to know birdsong to be able to attend – John will teach the group how to use the Merlin app for smart phones, so beginners are more than welcome; it’s a great chance to learn.
