Join facilitators Hannah Brazil and Olga Bloemen for a gentle seed walk around Rosefield Park in Portobello, exploring the resilience of wild plants and the importance of collecting, saving and sharing seeds.
Marking Samhain, the traditional Celtic beginning of the new year, this seasonal walk will explore what plants can teach us about resilience, regeneration and adapting to environmental change.
Participants will learn how to identify, harvest and store seeds from wild plants, while reflecting on our relationships with local ecosystems and how we can support biodiversity in a changing climate.
The walk also celebrates the recently established Seed Share at Portobello Library and is part of The Resilient Seedproject.
Open to adults and teenagers of all experience levels. The walk will follow wheelchair-accessible paths at a gentle pace.
Places are limited and advance booking is required.
