Carbon Literacy for Communities training by Speak Carbon Collective

Description of the event - as also stated in the description below

ECCAN is running online Carbon Literacy training for members

Training will be delivered online via Zoom on Thursdays the 16th & 23rd of October 09:30-13:30

Carbon Literacy training covers the science and impacts of climate change, climate justice and international, national and local policy, and empowers participants to take action on climate within

their communities.

The Carbon Literacy Project has this to say about the CL for Communities course:
‘Carbon Literacy for Communities is an educational initiative designed to equip communities with
the knowledge, skills, and motivation to tackle climate change locally. It involves understanding
the carbon impacts of everyday activities and learning practical ways to reduce emissions.

This training enhances environmental consciousness and builds a network of informed,
proactive citizens dedicated to creating a sustainable and resilient community.’

During the course you will make two pledges to take action on climate, and on successful
completion of the course, you will receive Carbon Literacy certification - a globally
recognised accreditation.
