Community Grants Fund Round Two 2025/26 is open for applications

Edinburgh based voluntary organisations and community groups are invited to apply to the Community Grants Fund (CGF) for grants of up to £5000 for projects that will benefit local  communities.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Tuesday 30 September 2025. Please apply using our online application form: https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/cgfapply.

What is the Community Grants Fund?

The CGF is a small grants scheme provided by the City of Edinburgh Council as part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to empower citizens and support grassroots initiatives. Grants of up to £5,000 can be awarded to constituted groups for community-based activity. There are 13 local pots of money, each covering a different area of the city.

Funding is still available for the following neighbourhoods*:

  • Almond

  • Forth

  • Inverleith

  • Morningside

  • Pentlands

  • South West

  • Southside Newington

  • Western

*funding for the Leith neighbourhood will be distributed through LeithChooses.
