Have Your Say: Political Roundtable with Hope for the Future
What issues matter most to you and your community?
On Wednesday 30th September, we’re bringing Edinburgh communities together with local elected representatives for a Political Roundtable, delivered by Hope for the Future at Greyfriars Charteris Centre.
The event will create space for people to ask questions, share their experiences and speak directly with politicians about climate, nature and the issues affecting their communities.
Who will be joining us?
We’re pleased to be welcoming the following local representatives:
Lorna Slater MSP, Scottish Green Party, MSP for Edinburgh Central
Christine Jardine MP, Scottish Liberal Democrats, MP for Edinburgh West
Cllr Chas Booth, Scottish Green Party, Councillor for Leith
A representative from the office of Scott Arthur MP, Scottish Labour Party, MP for Edinburgh South West
We hope to announce further representatives ahead of the event.
What to expect
The day will begin with a one-hour introduction led by Hope for the Future, exploring practical tools for having constructive conversations with politicians. You do not need to have attended any previous sessions to take part.
We’ll then move into the Political Roundtable, with opportunities to hear from representatives, ask questions and discuss your priorities, followed by time for informal conversation and lunch.
The event runs from 10:30am to 2pm and is free to attend.
