One week left to submit to the Edinburgh Conservation Film Festival

Filmmakers working with nature, biodiversity and conservation have just one week left to submit their work to the Edinburgh Conservation Film Festival (ECFF).

Now entering its sixth year, ECFF showcases engaging short films that highlight conservation in action, with a focus on stories that connect audiences with real-world efforts to protect and restore biodiversity.

The festival will take place at the National Museum of Scotland in January, in partnership with ECCAN.

ECFF is looking for short films of up to 12 minutes that tell clear, compelling stories about biodiversity conservation. They’re particularly interested in films that highlight real people and conservation work, explore our relationship with the natural world, and show action, progress or meaningful efforts to create change.

Films can come from anywhere in the world, submissions in all languages are welcome with English subtitles, and animated films are encouraged too.

Selected films will be reviewed by a panel of conservation filmmakers, scientists and industry professionals, with awards recognising excellence in conservation storytelling.
