Owning the Future: Community Energy Scotland Annual Conference 2026

Community Energy Scotland’s Annual Members Conference returns on 6th October 2026 in Glasgow, bringing together community organisations, policymakers, innovators and energy experts to explore the future of community energy in Scotland.

This year’s conference, Owning the Future: Turning Ambition into Reality with Community Energy, will look at how communities can secure a fair share of the benefits of Scotland’s transition to renewable energy, from greater community ownership and more equitable partnerships to the policies needed to support genuine community leadership.

As Scotland’s energy system changes, the conference will explore the opportunities emerging through increased renewable generation, electricity market reform and growing interest in shared ownership. At the heart of the day will be questions of equity, justice, ownership and community benefit.

The programme will bring together Community Energy Scotland members, community organisations, partners, policymakers and supporters for a day of discussion, practical insight and shared learning.
