After a long search, ECCAN has a new home!

We’d been looking for a new office space for some time and recently put a shout-out through the Edinburgh Minute. We had a brilliant response, so a huge thank you to the Edinburgh Minute and to everyone who got in touch with suggestions, connections and offers of space.

We’re now delighted to have moved in with SmartPA, just around the corner from our previous office.

It also means saying goodbye to our old home at ELREC, who have hosted ECCAN since we were first established. A huge thank you to the ELREC team for having us all these years – we’ll miss sharing a space with you!

Moving by cargo bike

For the move itself, we decided to keep things local and lower carbon, calling on CaDi Couriers – Edinburgh’s cycle courier co-operative.

CaDi provides cycle delivery services across Edinburgh, from same-day deliveries to moving larger loads around the city without the pollution or parking hassle of a van.

They’re also no strangers to ECCAN. We supported CaDi through our Greenlight Fund last year and again this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they do next.

Despite stairs, cobbles and an entire office to transport, the move couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Everything made it around the corner in just two cargo-bike trips and a couple of hours!
